Mornington Peninsula wedding venues offer a huge range of ceremony settings, and each one calls for a slightly different floral approach.
For a vineyard ceremony among the rows of one of the Peninsula’s many cellar doors, we lean into loose, textural arrangements—trailing greenery and soft, seasonal blooms that pick up the same muted greens and golds already in the landscape rather than competing with them.
For a coastal or clifftop ceremony, in villages like Sorrento or Portsea, or on the wild cliff tops at Barragunda Estate in Cape Schanck, less is often more. The view is doing most of the work, so a simple arch or a scattering of ground arrangements lets the horizon stay the focal point, with your flowers adding warmth without adding scale.
For a garden or farm ceremony, we’ll often go fuller and more romantic—an abundance of garden roses, flowering stems and greenery that makes the space feel intentionally grown-in.

Peninsula reception spaces range from timber-lined barns to glasshouse-style cellar doors to marquees looking out over vines, and each gives us a different base to design against. We’d typically bring in a mix of scale here—larger, sculptural pieces near the entry, bar and any feature walls, with softer, more intimate table arrangements that still let your guests talk comfortably across the table.

Because the Peninsula sits right on the coast, the growing conditions are a little different to what you’ll find further inland. Spring and early summer bring an abundance of garden roses, peonies and flowering natives; late summer and autumn suit warmer, richer tones—dahlias, chrysanthemums and grasses that catch the coastal light.
